NAILMANIA

LOVE NAIL POLISH

SIR YES SIR

Dear camo nails, I just can’t get enough of you. This is probably the only manicure I can wear forever without ever wanting to take it of. You can do it in any colors you like but I like the traditional, army ones.

This is how I do: One layer of the base colour you choose on the whole nail. When dried, start making camo patterns by hand. It’s not hard because it really doesn’t matter how they look. Make as many as you like in as many colours you want and finish with a layer of top coat. This takes me about 45 minutes to do (in front of an episode of Breaking bad though!).

I used: First I mixed White from Mavala with Army Jacket from the nordic cosmetics store KICKS to get a brighter army green colour. Then I made the pattern with a non mixed Army Jacket, Very structured from Essie and Black from Mavala.

SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND

Today I’m trying another polish from a spring collection! It’s the lilac Bella Vita from Isadora’s latest collection with the same name. It’s such a nice colour! I think I will use this alot this summer, even though I kind of hate Isadora’s wide brush. To make it a bit more fun I also made an accent nail.

I used: Two layers of Bella Vita from Isadora, and for the accent nail I took a layer of base coat and dipped my nail in silver glitter flakes from the Scandinavian store Pandro Hobby. It can be hard to get an even and smooth surface but if you want, you can!

SPRING BREAK

In early winter I always use dark colours on my nails, but after a couple of months I’m SO tired of it. I’m longing for colours! Therefore I made a colourful french manicure today with blue and pink. It became quite festive!

I used: Two layers of number 352 from Depends 2013 Spring collection and two layers of Check Me Out from H&M on the tips. I don’t think the pictures make the blue colour justice though, it’s a bit more gray and is one of my favourites from Depends Spring collection!

SPACE

Today I’m wearing an old favourite from Orlys collection Cosmic FX from 2010; Space cadet. It’s a duochrome and swiches between gold, purple and green depending on the light. Let’s have a look!

I used: Three coats of Space cadet and got the result above. Since I love space I love Space cadet!

FADE AWAY

One of my favourite colour combinations right now is black and blue. People use to say that these two colours should not be combined, but I say let’s do it anyway! Today on my nails.

I used: Two coats of Black from Mavala and one coat of a navy blue colour from Depend, not sure about what number though. I used a foundation sponge to obtain the faded effect.

SNOW DAY

Today I was inspired by the January weather here in Sweden, snowy!

I used: White from Mavala and Heavenly angel from Selena Gomez collection for Nicole by OPI. I needed two layers of White and two layers of Heavenly angel before it looked like a sunny, snowy day.

What do you think? Have anyone else tried Heavenly angel?

WELCOME

Let’s do this!
